The message on the back reads, "Dallas, Tx. 10-31-11 Can't find "Jack" in Dallas either. H. H. 10-31-11." The postcard is addressed to "Miss Mamie McFaddin Washington, D. C. 1906 Florida Ave."

In the upper right corner, "United States Veterans' Hospital" is printed and "In Dallas, at Lisbon, Tex." is printed in the lower left corner. Information about the hospital is printed on the back reading, "The main building of the immense Hospital Plant, which occupies a 245 acre site, adjoining the city limits at Lisbon." The correspondence is addressed to "Mr. C.L. Bridge" and references the writer undergoing surgery soon.
