Postcard from L. A. to Mr. Will L. Henkle, thanking him for sending something, and discussing Texas's pretty landscape. The front of the postcard features a photograph of Holy Angels Academy in Boerne, Texas, a two-story building with wrap-around porches on both stories. There is a small tower extending from the center of the roof of the building, with a cross-shaped spire at the top. There are a few short steps leading up to the first-story porch and the front door to the academy. There are several trees surrounding the building, obscuring much of the second-story.

Crews and I just returned from Gallatin where we again visited his aunt and uncle. We had the usual hospitality and saw where part of the Army is bivouacked on maneuvers now but leaving tomorrow. This was quite a clear day for a charge - just warm enough. Bro. Woodrow."
