1921 Lewisville High School football team coach, Lee Preston, is pictured with thirteen mostly unidentified members in front of the school building. Lewisville High School Football Team with Coach Lee Preston

1921 Lewisville High School football team coach, Lee Preston, with unidentified team members arrayed in offensive playing positions in front of the school. The only identified member is Sulton John Boyd, third from the right. Sulton was the grandson of Susan McCombs Boyd and the son of George Taylor Boyd. A natural athlete, he played both basketball and football. Sulton graduated from North Texas State University, teaching there for a brief time period, later worked for the National Labor Relations Board. He also ran a farm that was west of Krum on U.S. 380.

Many of the men are wearing Western-style clothing with Western hats. Some of the men are wearing three-piece suits with ties or bow ties. Gene Cook is sixth from the left.
