Silver Wedding

Copy print of the wedding party of Johannes Hansen and Agnes Ingvardsen Hansen. They are seated outside of what appears to be a single-story brick structure, identified in accompanying records as the Trinity Lutheran Church in El Campo, Texas. It merged with the Christ Lutheran church in 1997. Three longs rows make up the group, which comprises of several women, men, and children. They are all dressed in formal attire.

[Wedding of Lars and Dora Harton Wind]

Copy negative of a black and white photograph of eight people lined up in a row for a photograph; the two individuals in the center are a newlywed couple, identified as Lars Wind and Dora Harton Wind. Lars is wearing suit that is buttoned up and a flower on his lapel. To his right, Dora is standing and wearing a white dress and a veil while holding a bouquet of flowers. Both the bride and the groom have 3 accompanying individuals on either side of them. Behind them and to the left of them, covered pavilions are visible.

Theodore Andersen Home

Photograph of a two-story home in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Theodore Andersen. The home has white siding, intersecting gable roofs, and several sets of windows of similar dimensions on both the first and second floors. An air conditioning unit is hanging out of one of the windows on the first floor. The photograph was taken some distance away from the house, capturing a dirt road with a blue truck that runs parallel to it. Several large trees are on the property. There is hand-written text on the back of the photograph, but it cannot be read with certainty. Below that, there are two identical stamps of the same leaping fox and and the accompanying text, "Fox Photo. This paper manufactured by Kodak Jul 85 Hou."

Hans Hansen & Walter Bram Home

Photograph of a two-story structure in Danevang, Texas, belonging to Hans Hansen and Walter Bram. The photograph was taken a long distance away, from a street inside a car, and the top part of a driver's side mirror can be seen in the foreground. A white sticker on the front of the photograph has typed text which reads, "Home built by Uncle Pete Rasmussen when he was ginner; later owned by Hans F. Hansen; then Walter Bram who had a repair garage and shop next door [sic]." The shop the text speaks of is presumably the metal structure on the far left, with rusted roofs and a large bush in front of it. To the right of this structure is the main house. It has dark shingles, intersecting gable roofs, and light-colored walls. On the back of the photograph, there is a repeating line of identical pink stamps of a leaping fox and the accompanying text, "This paper manufactured by Kodak Jul 85 Hou."

[Harton Family Reunion]

Photograph of adult men and women during the 1954 Harton family reunion. The majority of the people pictured are seated along tables that fill up most of the room. There are a few people standing in the back. Plates, cups, and other dishware has been set on the tables. Although names have been provided, no comprehensive record exists to match names to individuals. Hand-written text on the back of the photograph reads, "Our first Harton reunion".

[Mary Andersen and Daughters at Birthday Celebration]

Photograph of a woman in a wheelchair, identified as Mary Andersen, at her 100th birthday celebration with her four daughters standing behind her. Mary Andersen is holding a heart-shaped box that reads, "Mary H. Andersen 100 centennial". She is wearing a pink floral dress and a pearl necklace. From left to right, her daughters have been identified as Rena Howard, June Andersen Gann, Ruth Brodsgaard, and Christine Ingvardeen Michaelsen. Behind them, there is an unidentified man. A series of long tables have been arranged for the festivities. In the very back, frames of different sizes and designs have been put on a gridded fence. Photograph was taken at Plainview Hall.

[Ted Jensen and Son at Danevang Service Station]

Copy negative of a black and white photograph of Theodore (Ted) Jensen at the Danevang Texaco Service Station bottle feeding his son, Hans Clinton Jensen. Chris Larsen Home

Photograph of a small, single-story house belonging to Mrs. Chris Larsen. Photograph was taken a short distance away, capturing the surrounding lawn, which has been cut short. Four double-hung windows in quick succession are on the left side of the house, followed by a door, and one more double-hung window on the right side, which is partially covered by a tree. There is a sticker that has been placed on the front bottom left corner of the photograph. It is covering what appears to be a fallen tree or the limbs of one. Red and yellow flowers line the outside perimeter of the house. A. Heard Home
