Cotton Compress, Oklahoma City
Photograph of a post card showing bales of cotton at the cotton compress in Oklahoma City. Cotton was shipped to the compress to be pressed into bales for shipment outside the state. Photograph is likely early 1900's. The cotton compress was located east of the Santa Fe railroad tracks at East Noble Street, (S.E. 3rd street).

Steep pitched roof, bell tower atop covered entrance at front, arched windows. Constructed in 1893 at 219 NW 2nd (Robert S. Kerr). In 1901 building moved to NW 4th and Broadway.
