The first was Zach Mulhall's "Congress of Rough Riders," which mainly played fairs and expositions where he had a guarantee. Mulhall had big dreams but a small budget. When he tried to take the show on tour, despite the presence of his daughter, Lucille, "the First Cowgirl," he went broke. The 101 Ranch Real Wild West" was in a sense Pawnee Bill's successor. The 101 Ranch, started by Confederate Col. George Washington Miller, reached its greatest heights under his three sons, Joe, Zach, and George."
