Photograph of five children playing in the George Ranch house yard beneath the Nancy Jones oak tree. According to the "1996 George Ranch Historical Park Interpreter Training Manual", the oak tree was planted in 1824 by Nancy Jones and the tree house was later added by Mrs. And Mrs. A.P. George for Mary Jones, daughter of Mrs. George's cousin Henry Jones. There is a little girl standing in front of the tree trunk while four other children play near the wooden lawn furniture near the right side of the photo. There is a smaller oak tree with landscaping surrounding it on the right. A wooden rocking chair is on far right; shrubs and trees in background. There is a sidewalk that leads in front of and through landscaping in the foreground. Typed in black on back of photograph: "Planted by Mrs. Henry Jones (Nancy when they arrived about 1822" and written in black ink "Aug - 1937". Written in pencil: "Nancy Stiles Oak". There is a "C" written in pencil near bottom right corner on front of photograph.
