[Photograph of Howard Payne College Track Team, 1929]
Photograph a group of twenty-six young men, all of whom except two are wearing track uniforms with flying "H"s on the front, arranged in three rows. The first two rows of young men are sitting - the first row on a grassy lawn, the second on a long bench. One man, at the very end of the third row, on the left, is wearing a suit and bow-tie. A grassy field, bleachers, and the spire of a tower are visible in the background of the photo. Handwritten text on the back of the photo indicate the young men make up the Howard Payne College 1929 track team, and are conference champions that year. Typewritten text on the back of the photo indicates the photo should be returned to a Bruce M. Francis in Brownwood.
