On the reverse of the slide is a label with a handwritten note that reads "Swiss hamlet near eternal snows. Switzerland." The location is probably Saas-fee, the main village in the Saas Valley, in the district of Visp in the canton of Valais in Switzerland. On the frame of the slide is printed "Neg.
