Esperanza Station on the Old Mexican Railway, formerly the "Queen's Own" in August 1964. Photographed from the rear-end of passenger train No. 51, eastbound, enroute from Mexico City to Veracruz. This 269-mile line is one of the great scenic routes in the Republic of Mexico.

[Tarver Family Christmas Card, 1964]

Christmas postcard from the Tarver family including a small photo of the children with their cousin in the center. There are black-and-white illustrations around the outside of the photo depicting baby Jesus in a manger with sheep and an angel at the bottom and the star at the top; the words "Felices Pascuas" are at the top of the postcard and "Pròspero Año Nuevo" are at the bottom. In the photograph, the boys are wearing their school uniforms and the girls are wearing dresses; they are posed together in two lines on the stairs outside of a house. They are, from left to right: John Arthur, Paula (Daniels), and Byron Lee in the back; Lawrence Alden, and Carol Lynn in the front. A handwritten note under the photograph says, "Arthur, Paula, Byron, Larry, Lynn, Wendell & Janie Tarver. Dec - 1964."
