Ken Simpson, 72, did such a good job of convincing producers to do the story, that he landed the job of playing the lead character in an episode to be telecast later this month. He will play the part of St. Joseph, who some believe built a spiral staircase in the late 1870s in the Loretto Chapel in Santa Fe. His sons, Rick and Larry, and friend Max L. Hines, all of Enid, play tourists visiting the cathedral."
