Map shows major roads, military outposts, major cities and towns, notable geographic features with relief shown by hachures, and areas of Native American habitation; only four counties defined in west Texas and panhandle: El Paso, Bexar, Presidio, and one unnamed. It includes geographical notes and has three insets: one of northern showing the panhandle portion of the state and two depicting Galveston Bay and Sabine Lake, with depths shown by soundings.
