Lamar discusses Nimitz's personal and professional routines; comments about Admirals William ("Bull") Halsey and Raymond Spruance; the Roosevelt-Nimitz-MacArthur conference at Pearl Harbor from July to August of 1944; and the transfer of CINCPAC from Pearl Harbor to Guam.
