Interview with Jovita Soria, Mexican-born immigrant to Plano, Texas, for the DFW Metroplex Immigration Oral History Project. The interview includes Soria's personal experiences of childhood in Mexico, her first experience in Plano at the age of seventeen and her second on as a live-in nanny, her move to Abilene, Texas, and return to Mexico with her husband. Soria also talks about her return to Plano as an illegal immigrant, difficulties with illegal status, assimilation into Texas culture, children's experiences as Mexican-American, and her thoughts on the immigration process.

Interview with Jack Hill, former employee of the Texas Textile Mill, as part of the Texas Textile Mill Oral History Project. The interview includes Hill's personal experiences about his childhood, working at Wilson's Grocery Store and Cole's Groceries, enlisting in the Army Air Forces during World War II, and serving in the China-Burma-India Theater. Hill also discusses his family's experience in the Great Depression, his lay-off due to new child labor laws, the tornado of 1948, and his career in retail sales.

Interview with Raymond Curtis, longtime resident and school administrator of Weatherford, Texas, as part of the Weatherford Oral History Project. Interview with Florence Shapiro, a state legislator, concerning her views of the impact and significance of women on the development of the Republican Party in Texas (1970-1993). Shapiro also discusses her initial involvement in local politics, her election to the Plano, Texas, City Council (1979-1990), her election as mayor of Plano (1990), her election to the Texas Legislature (1992), her views on social and fiscal conservatism and abortion, and the evolution of the Republican Party in Collin County, Texas.

Interview with Tanya Kiboko, an immigrant to Texas from the Democratic Republic of the Congo. Kiboko discusses her education, her family, Congolese society, languages, learning English, culture shock, food, markets, attending Wiley College, her husband, differences in structure between Western and Congolese families, and reflections on life.

Interview with Harve D. King, a Army WWII veteran from Copeville, Texas, who served in the 350th Engineer Regiment. King discusses his upbringing on a cotton farm, school in Farmersville, discrimination as an African-American, attending Texas College, joining the Army, training, assignment at Camp Shelby, deployment to New Guinea, operations at Hollandia, building a hospital, recreation, visiting Australia, returning to the United States and discharge, and life after the war.

Interview with Noel Lisboa, a Filipino personal trainer from Plano, Texas. Lisboa discusses growing up in the Philippines, Catholic education there, Filipino cuisine, family traditions and holidays, experiences with a political uprising, immigrating to the United States, food, life, and holidays in the United States compared to the Philippines, gang activity in the U.S., the fitness industry, and his community.

Interview with Clarence Shockey, a farmer and former member of the Civilian Conservation Corps from Ridgeway, Texas, regarding his experiences and memories of participating in the CCC during the Great Depression. It includes an appendix with newspaper clippings about Shockey's efforts to host a reunion.

The interview includes Fitzgerald's personal experiences of childhood and home life in Tehran, Iran, attending Al Zahra University in Tehran, coming to America as a young bride, attending the University of North Texas and finding a career as a fine artist in Dallas. Fitzgerald talks about serving as Mrs. International 2009 and establishing the Fight Oral Cancer Foundation. The interview includes photographs and articles about Fitzgerald.

Interview with Rula Walid Bibi, Palestinian-born immigrant to Plano, Texas, for the DFW Metroplex Immigrants Oral History Project.
