Interview with William E. Moore Jr., a Army WWII veteran from Temple, Texas, who was present at the attack on Pearl Harbor. Moore discusses his time in the Corps of Cadets at Texas A&M, assignment to 24th Division Artillery at Schofield Barracks, Hawaii, training and alerts, the attack at Wheeler Field and taking defensive positions around Oahu, and service afterwards.

Interview with Vivian Starks, a teacher and longtime resident of Hamilton Park from Bryan, Texas. Starks discusses her education, teaching, her service with the USO, moving to Dallas and Hamilton Park, black schools in Dallas, developing the neighborhood, churches, issues with "buying out," the Civic League, Old North Dallas, desegregation, and contemporary issues.

Interview with Verle Oringderff concerning his experiences while employed by the Civilian Conservation Corps during the Great Depression. Oringderff worked at a camp in Littlefield, Texas (Company 3802). Interview includes information about Oringderff's schooling and childhood as well as the effects of the Great Depression on his household.

Interview with Vivian Starks, a schoolteacher, concerning her experiences as a resident of Hamilton Park, Texas from 1954 to 1991. Starks discusses her segregated education in Bryan, Texas, Wiley College, her teaching career in segregated Dallas schools, her decision to buy a home in Hamilton Park, transportation problems, home improvements, church activities, Civic League, the "Buy Out," zoning problems, Interorganizational Council and political activities, employment at Hamilton Park School, the desegregation of Hamilton Park School and her transfer to Richardson Independent School District, and Pacesetter.

Interview with Vivian Starks, a schoolteacher, concerning her views on the impact and significance of women on the development of the Republican Party in Texas (1946-1993). Starks discusses the acceptance of African American women by Texas Republicans, her political philosophy, and women's issues.

Interview with George Holcombe, a Methodist pastor and civil rights activist from Houston, Texas, and his wife and associate Wanda, from Sims, Texas. The Holcombes discuss their family origins, initial exposure to racial problems and civil rights, their respective educations, pastoral work in Baton Rouge and Chicago, the Ku Klux Klan and dangers encountered, work with the Ecumenical Institute of Chicago and empowering black communities, the 1968 Chicago riots, Fifth City, and similar work in Australia and the Philippines.

Interview with Karen Dickson, vice-president of the Denton Chamber of Commerce Economic Development Division from Bryan, Texas. Dickson discusses her childhood and education, her career, economic development and the work she does for the Chamber of Commerce, thoughts on "community" and being a community leader, and the economic history of Denton. In appendix is a photo of the Denton County Courthouse and one of the Denton County Confederate Memorial.
