Collection of documents from a number of Spanish officials such as Joseph Leonardo Sánchez, Antonio Bustamente y Bustillo, etc. Documents included are wills, an inventory of goods, a claim on an estate and the settlement on the estate. Many of the documents are stained, and a few pages contain unrelated printed text.

Investigation correspondence between Joseph Leonardo Trevíno, the Justicia Mayor, Tenente de Capitán, and the governor. According to the correspondence they are filing against Cayteano Peña, the President of Laredo, for breaking the Real Justicia.

Various cover pages of folders that contained decrees, ordinances, etc. from various years. Many of these folders have been reused for several other things, and some are undated or rough draft documents.

Two notices sent by Viceroy Don Antonio María Bucareli y Ursúa, regarding two vessels sailing from Veracruz in March 1775 and the register closes on March 20. The second notice says it was read on November 9, 1774; the first notice says it was read on November 29, 1774.

Petition from Joseph Pérez asking for the rearrest of Nicolás Campos in order to settle a diplomacy issue as well as wanting witnesses for the González trial brought to Laredo. The later decree from Tomás Sánchez orders Campos' arrest, after having escaped from prison.

Series of complaints put together against the Regidor Salvador Gonzalez for mistreating people and animals. Included, also, are accusations and testimonies supporting the complaints.

Decree Viceroy Don Antonio María Bucareli y Ursúa citing a previous decree of September 24, 1778, ordering all magistrates to obey legal authorities as the king's representatives. According to the document it was read as published by authorities in several cities.

After the resounding success of Iphigénie en Tauride (1779), Gluck set out to compose his last of the seven Paris operas, which turned out to be his final opera. Whereas Iphigénie en Tauride is often considered Gluck’s best opera, its immediate successor, Echo et Narcisse (1779) was ill-fated and quickly disappeared from the repertoire. Echo was premiered a mere four months after Tauride, and the Parisian audience was not prepared for the differences between these two operas. Although the music resembles that of his other French operas, the pastoral story lacks the dramatic intensity that viewers expected in a Gluck opera. Thus, the serene music—though it is at times quite beautiful— lacks dramatic impulse.

Letter from Nancy Cunningham to Sarah “Sally” Teackle Kendall describing her flight from Philadelphia during the Revolutionary War, and also contains updates about Teackle's brother Severn Teackle who is imprisoned by the British on a ship anchored off Long Island. Severn Teackle is the Grandfather of Severn Teackle Wallis. Attached to this letter is a note dated 1829 written by Elizabeth Upshur Teackle explaining how she came to be in possession of this letter from her Great Aunt Sally Teackle Kendall.
