Tharon (Thalon) villagers perform the sideward stepping dance 'malian phenbo'. The dance marks the beginning of Chaga festival. This dance is performed by Liangmai men. The men dance through the village until they come and stop in one designated place.

Transcription of a retelling of Sraa nao le svang nao ktaang ktloo ki paomin (the Story of the Poor Boy and the Rich Boy Making Snares), as told by Belun Sankhil. One of several retellings of a traditional story where the rich hunter switches his quarry, a bird, with that of his poor hunting partner, absurdly claiming his trap up high in a tree had caught a deer. In this version it is the fox who parodies the rich hunter's reasoning by claiming he burnt his feet during a flood.

Tharon (Thalon) villagers perform the war cry or battle cry, 'Kahoi-hoibo'. It is a war cry or a battle call made by men. Men are divided into four groups and each group takes turns performing the kahoi. This kahoi-hoibo instills a spirit of oneness among men. Kahoi-hoibo is performed while going to war, as well as when performing community works like pulling big logs or rocks.

This is an interview about traditional health practices in the Lai community. The interviewee is originally from Leitak and speaks Hakha, Zophei, and Kawl. Interviews were collected as part of the Linguistically Underserved Communities and Health (LUCAH) project, which aims to make health information more accessible and culturally relevant for the Chin refugee community in order to ensure that they are getting clear and accurate information.

Youth dormitory played a vital role in village life. It was an institution that maintained tradition and culture of the village. At the same time, traditional knowledge and oral literature are transferred to the younger generation through this institution. The members of a male youth dormitory formed a workforce and defense system of the village.
