Caption: "First Large movement of Oklahmoa's 45th division men and equipment moved from the state late Wednesday into Texas on the way to Camp Polk, La. Above the lead vehicles of a 12-mile long convey cross the Red River bridge on U.S. 69-75 south of Durant. The 250 vehicles took 36 minutes to pass a given point. Thursday the convey left Perrin airforce base, Sherman, Texas. It will stop at Marshall, Texas, Thursday night and procced to Camp Polk Friday. Two similar convoys will leave Fort Sill and Camp Gruber Thursday and Friday for Camp Polk."

Caption: "More than 250 army vehicles, including some 105 millimeter howitzers, stretch into a convoy 12 miles long at Eaker field Durant, collecting point for central Oklahoma national guard units of the 45th division. It took 36 minutes for the entire procession to pass any one point on its way perrin field, Sherman, Texas. The units are from Norman, Oklahoma City, Shawnee, Okemah and McAlester. (O-12-31-50): One of several 45th division truck convoys lines up at Eaker field, Durant, for the motor march to Camp Polk, La., and active duty training. Memories of World war II days were stirred as the division again recieved an early call to service, draining veterans and raw recruits alike from every section of the city. The Thunderbirds were marching once more."
