[Chester W. Nimitz Walks Out of Bunker on Midway Island]

[Chester W. Nimitz and Guests at Corpus Christi Naval Air Station]

Photograph of Chester W. Nimitz sitting at a dinner table with unidentified guests at an event held at the Corpus Christi Naval Air Station. Four guests are shown to be sitting to Nimitz left, a man in a white Naval Uniform, a woman in a dark dress with a pearl necklace, a man in a pale suit and patterned tie and finally a woman in a light-colored dress. Mr. Nimitz himself is wearing his white Naval Uniform with shoulder decals, golden buttons going down his front and ribbon bars above his pocket. The table is decorated with plants and several glasses can be seen as well as plates of dinner rolls.
