Included with the original letter is a typed transcript.

Photograph of pasture management. Pasture has been cleared and seeded to 100 pounds of lespedeza and 20% of dallisgrass. Original cover consisted of sweet gum, blackberry briars and a few pine and persimmon but none of much economic value. Slope 0 to 2%. No erosion apparent. LA-10, 273-B.

Photograph of Mr. & Mrs. S. B. Sandlin, Jr. inspect a heavy seed head of Autauga reseeding Crimson clover. It is evident that a good seed yield is expected here. This will be the first Autauga crimsom to be combined for seed in Webster Parish. Seeded on Nov. 10, 1949 with 12 pounds of seed. Fertilized with 1 ton of lime, 1000 pound rock phosophorus, 150 pounds muriate of potash, 15 pounds Borax per acre. LA-61-869.

Photograph of L. L. Loftin, Soil Conservation Service [SCS] Technician, stands in excellent growth of common & Autauga crimson clover and sericea lespedeza. Seeded to sericea in 1947 and fertilized with 300 pounds of 4-8-4 fertilizer. Phosphated in the spring of 1949 with 400 pounds of superphosphate. Seeded to 5 pounds of Artauga and 15 pounds of common crimson clover in October, 1949. The sericea does not appear to be damaged. Soil Unit 6-UC. LA-61-871.

Report issued by the Bureau of Mines over engineering studies of water injections in Louisiana oil reservoirs. As stated in the introduction, "this Bureau of Mines report presents operating practices and results of pressure maintenance and secondary recovery by water injection or by water injection supplemented by gas injection" (p. 1). This report includes tables, and maps.

Abstract: "A geologic reconnaissance map was prepared in the area of Vacherie Dome at a scale of 1:24,000. To do this, the available data were compiled, resistivity surveys were conducted, and reconnaissance field mapping took place. Then all the information was consolidated for the map preparation."
