Postcard from G. L. Schench to Mrs. L. H. Schench, discussing a six mile drive the sender took, and the natural beauty he or she saw. The front of the postcard features a photograph (colored in with ink) of Fern Bank waterfall in Boerne Texas. The waterfall is a small stream of water spilling over a rocky ledge covered in greenery. The water fall cascades down a short distance, and then over a rock and into a pool of water. There are more rocks and greenery on either side of the waterfall.

A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Committee on Americanism, Parramore Post No. 57, American Legion, Abilene, Texas, from Franklin L. Burdette, Director of the Citizenship Course, Butler University, Indianapolis, Indiana, dated December 15, 1941. Burdette conveys for President Daniel S. Robinson his appreciation for the letter from Carswell regarding the request for a definition of Americanism and advises of Robinson's request for Burdette to define it, therefore, the reason for the enclosed statement "Basic Ideals of Constitutional Democracy" as distributed by the National Foundation for Education in American Citizenship. He advises of a full-year course in American Government and Citizenship required of all sophomores attending Butler University.

A General Purpose Log Counting Rate Meter Model B

Abstract: This report is a brief description of a general purpose logarithmic counting rate meter developed at the Knolls Atomic Power Laboratory. The theory of operation and the circuit design are discussed. The use of a diode as a logarithmic element in the integrating circuit allows extremely accurate counting rate determinations over a five decade range.
