SS African Pilot

Photograph of the Mercy Ship, the veteran freighter SS African Pilot. The ship was lent for movement of supplies for Cuba to the Red Cross by the Committee of American Steamship Lines. The ship is at its moorings awaiting loading. When it completes it mercy mission, the vessel is scheduled for retirement.
