Letter from Elizabeth Upshur Teackle to her daughter, Elizabeth Ann Upshur Teackle, while she was attending Madam Grelaud's French School in Philadelphia. She reminds Elizabeth Ann to remember her mother's lessons and to become a wise woman. She encourages the learning of music and promises her a fortepiano and a harp if she continues to improve. She mentions that Ann Upshur Eyre had a baby and Maria Parker passed away.
