Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Those old gentlemen dressed in Alumni red got so frisky at times here Saturday the Varsity kids must have wondered, if you'll pardon the expression, if perhaps somebody was tampering with the scaoreboard. Then Randy Hughes and Clyde Powers served the youth with key pass interceptions to help next season's Sooners escape with a 42-28 victory. The Varsity was not really and truly assured of the 10th straight springtime triump until fullback Jim Littrell bounded across the goal from a yard out with a mere 3:47 left. Powers had given him that opportunity by intercepting a Mickey Ripley pass which he returned 32 yards to the Alum's seven. An unidentified flying object (UFO?) leaps over Mike Harper of the Alumni and zeros in on quarterback Ron Fletcher. It's a tough life sometimes."
