Army" The stamp is postmarked "Houston, Texas Oct 21 '46 PB Meter 93104 U. S. Postage Paid .04 1/2" and addressed to "For [in red print] A. P. George Richmond, Texas [in blue ink]

Manila envelope from "the Geizendanner company Houston 6, Texas Advertising" to " Mr. A. P. George Richmond, Texas" postmarked "Houston, Tex. June 13 1951". Four purple 3 cent United States Postage stamps are cancelled in the top right corner. Written in red ink near top left corner: "Cattle Pictures". Eighteen cattle photographs were enclosed in this envelope.

Linen style envelope has writing in blue ink on front that reads: "Cousin Babe Pictures". The flap on the back of the envelope reserved for the return address has text that reads: "Mrs. A. P. George Richmond, Texas". The envelope is lined with blue paper. The envelope contained four photographs.

Manila envelope containing one photograph 2000.028.014b. The label on the envelope reads: "From R. W. Shirer 210 Westport Road Kansas City, Mo. Return Postage Guaranteed To Mr. C. M. Frost, 25th Floor Esperson Bldg., Houston 2, Texas." and is stamped "First Class Mail" to the top and left of the label. The envelope has a United States 10 cents Postage Stamp bearing the image of John Tyler 1841-1845 and is postmarked Kansas City Mo. Jul 29 6 PM 1955. Written in pencil across the front of envelope: "1/4 + 7/8 9/8" "9/16" On label and "C".

Letter from Robinson Portraits to Mr. Tom Booth. Letterhead in blue: "Robinson Portraits Marijo Robinson One Studio Only Children and Pets [emblem] Member The Photographers Association of America 2912 Fannin, JA 9 - 1108 Houston 2, Texas Established 1935". The note reads as follows: "April 15 - 58 Mr. Tom Booth Richmond, Tex- 1-3 /14 [sic] x 4 1/4 colored copy in Frame - 5500 Paid April 16 - Robinson Portraits [sic] 1958". The photograph referred to in the letter is accession 2000.052.003b.

Letter sent to the Mamie George from "The Rosenberg Herald". The letter has a letterhead with black text that reads: "The Rosenberg Herald" 'Fort Bend County's Leading Newspaper' NO2-3737 Rosenberg, Texas [in black border] Memo From the Desk of Don Bryant Editor-General Mgr." The type written letter reads: " 3/25/60 Dear Mrs. George: Found this in our files - - an aerial picture of your ranch. Thought maybe you'd like to have it. Regards, [signed] Donald B. Bryant, Editor - Gen. Mgr. The Herald-Coaster". An aerial photograph, 2000.048.007b, was enclosed with letter.

Letter had three photographs attached to it. The letter had the following contents:" [letterhead] The Santa Gertrudis Journal Roger B. Letz, Publisher P. O. Box 2386 Fort Worth, Texas 76101 December 12, 1969 Mr. Walter W. Cardwell, Jr. Box 1080 Lockhart, Texas Dear Walter: Here are several photos made yesterday at the George Ranch. Included is one of No. 99, the bull which is scheduled to be used in the January ad, of which you have a layout. All photos are identified on the back. Hilmar was not here, but I called him and he said to go ahead without him being in the pictures. We are mailing the January issue early, so we need copy as soon as possible. Sincerely yours, [signed] Roger B. Letz RBL/mm."

Letter with "The Santa Gertrudis Journal" letter head reads: " Roger B. Letz, Publisher P. O. Box 2386 Fort Worth, Texas August 12, 1969 Mr.. Walter W. Cardwell, Jr. Box 1018 Lockhart, Texas Dear Walter: Here are the layouts we discussed yesterday. The September ad has been sent to Hilmar. I found a good picture of Walter Hellyer. Many thanks for your efforts in my behalf on this matter and I will try my best to help you as time goes by. Should you want me to meet with you and Hilmar at the ranch I will be happy to do so. I have in mind doing a story on the cattle Hilmar has sold that are on feed at Eagle Lake and in turn made into barbecue for a man in El Campo. These are his personal cattle. We have 47 students for the school of knowledge at Valley Mills, from six states and Mexico, a turn out that is much better than we expected. Looks like this will be a successful venture. The letterhead reads: "The Santa Gertrudis Journal". The contents of the letter dated December 22, 1969 are: "Roger B. Letz, Publisher P. O. Box 2386 Fort Worth, Texas 76101 Phone (817) 336-3611 December 22, 1969 Mrs. Clark Berry Mamie E. George Ranch Box 33 Richmond, Texas 77469 Dear Mrs. Berry: I am returning the picture of the champion Shorthorn bull Prince Peter Jasper that I borrowed from you the other day. Many thanks for the use of it. Sincerely yours, [signed] Roger B. Letz Roger B. Letz RBL/mm Enc.". The photograph referred to in the letter is 2000.034.025.

Cardboard white envelope with a white label on front which reads: "First Class Mail From The Cattleman 410 East Weatherford Street Fort Worth 2, Texas To Hilmar Moore George Building Richmond, Texas 77469" . The envelope had a label with red writing in top right corner and is only partially legible because it was cut off.

Gray thick paper with "Harry C. Webb" in black type. The card has a rusted outline of a paper clip[ in the top left corner.

Letter enclosed in a portrait [2000.042.009b] of Miss Jean Kiger to Mrs. Mamie George. The letter, written in black ink, reads as follows: "Miss Jean Kiger R. 6 Box 1012 Houston 8, Tex Dear Mrs. George, I thought you might like to have one of my graduation pictures. I would have sent you one with the invitation but the studio did not have them finished then. I hope Mr. George is over his flu by now. Tell him "Hello" for me. Very Sincerely Yours Jean Kiger".

This letter from the American Veteran Industries had the newspaper article with picture of Mr. And Mrs. A.P. George Accession # 2000.020.005a. The letter reads: "American Veteran Industries P. O. Box 834 Kansas City, Missouri. Attention: The American Veteran has selected YOUR Article! Your new item containing memories of the golden past has been preserved by the process of Permolasting to defy the elements of time, air and water. Your remittance of $1.00 or more if you wish would be greatly appreciated so that we may continue our work. If you desire we can obtain additional copies through the courtesy of the publishers. Your Favorite photographs, membership cards, social security cards, etc., can also be processed for a small fee if you will send them to us. Enclosed for your convenience is a prepaid remittance envelope. Thank you in advance for your reply. Sincerely yours, The American Veteran." A form below the letter request name and address information.
