The front has a decorative green border with the words "Allied Military Currency;" text in the center of the bill says "Issued in Italy, cinque (five 5 five) lire" and "series of 1943 A." The back of the bill has a complex design in blue with the words "Allied Military Currency" at the center. In the corners of the design are the phrases "freedom of speech," "freedom of religion," "freedom from want," and "freedom from fear."

Arianna e Teseo
Libretto of the opera seria "Arianna e Teseo" by Pietro Pariati. The story unfolds in the island of Crete where several young Athenian men are brought to be ritually sacrificed, and Athenian maidens are to be delivered as victims to a minotaur that lives in a labyrinth. Among the Athenians is Arianna, the daughter of Minos (Minosse), King of Crete, who was abducted as a child by King Aegeus, and Teseo, Aegeus's son. Teseo is determined to kill the minotaur in order to save Arianna's friend Laodice, but Arianna believes that he loves her friend. In spite of her doubts, she hands over to Teseo the secret how to kill the minotaur and vanquish Tauride, King Mino's champion, which she overheard from Minos. The work ends with Teseo's victory over the minotaur and his reconciliation with Arianna.

Bound compilation of parts to accompany the volume M218.C67. This collection's contents do not overlap entirely with those of main volume. The library catalog record follows the handwritten numbering in the main volume, which generally assigns numbers to titles held in common between the two volumes. Therefore, some works are described by their position relative to numbered items. The set of parts also has several short manuscript pieces added at the end; some parts are for both violin or flute, or for flute but playable on violin. The volume itself heavily emphasizes "potpourris" and other arrangements of larger works, such as those by Gaetano Donizetti and Vincenzo Bellini. Charles Auguste de Bériot is prominent in this volume as both a composer and arranger. About half of the works were published in Mayence (present-day Mainz) or Offenbach (surmised from other evidence in some cases), with Fils de B. Schott as the most prominent publisher.

Bound compilation of sheet music from the collection of Thurman Morrison, compiled by Mary Alsop King Waddington, an author who was born in New York, but lived in France beginning in 1871, and was married to French statesman William Henry Waddington. This volume consists largely of excerpts from operatic works, particularly by Gaetano Donizetti, Saverio Mercadante, Gioacchino Rossini, and Giuseppe Verdi. Most works were published in Paris, with a few published in Mayence (present-day Mainz), Vienna, and Boston.

The dates of publication range between 1840 and 1880, and most of the publishers' imprints were located in New York or Philadelphia, along with several other locations. Discard stamps from the Columbus, Ohio public library, and a stamp for R.B. McAdow, Music Dealer in the same city suggest the compiler's residence was also there; the name Minnie S. Greene is written in pencil on the first page of music. Page 127 of the scan, or 114 of the music, is also inscribed "Presented to Minnie Greene."
