Letter from J. B. Bovelly to J. B. LaCoste regarding lands owned by Albert Huth. [Ferdinand] Louis Huth was paying taxes on the land but letters to him have gone unanswered. The family would like to know whose name the properties are listed under, whether taxes have been paid, whether the land can be sold and what might its value be. Signed J. B. Bovelly on March 2, 1881 in Galveston.

A deluxe folio edition (second edition, third issue) Massenet's Manon, with orchestral accompaniment arranged for piano. This printing was limited to 50 copies, of which this copy is number 19. The preliminary pages include a dedication to Mme C. Miolan-Carvalho and a listing of the cast of the premiere. Illustrative engravings by P. Avril precede each act, and each page of music has a green floral border by Barbizet. This copy also includes an autograph musical quotation from Manon in the hand of the composer, followed by signature and inscription in black ink "au Prince Bojidar Karageorgevitch. Hommage de grand sympathie. J. Massenet Paris. 1893," on the half-title (page 20 of this scan).

The text is bordered by detailed illustrations including cherubs or angels at the top, on either side of a coat of arms labeled "equality"; columns on either side with dates and text labels 1789 at left (with "liberty" at the top and "commerce" at the bottom) and 1889 at right (with "brotherhood" at top and "industry" at bottom); and book below the text, held open by a branch and ribbon.

Souvenir medal from the world's fair held in Paris, featuring a number of symbolic images. On one side, there is a woman seated beneath a tree, holding out a laurel crown to a man at left; at the bottom is an image of the exposition space with the Eiffel Tower.
