Letter from Juan Antonio Juangorena to José Ramón Díaz de Bustamente concerning family affairs and local news. The document is heavily stained, has frayed and torn edges, and has pieces of tape covering parts of the edges of the paper.

Last will and testament for José María Elizordo outlining what is to be received by his inheritors. The document has a few large stains at the bottom of the pages, and has slightly frayed edges.

Two documents from Manuel de Iturbe, Governor of Nuevo Santander, to Spanish justicias and captains, saying that he is sending official documents from the king and criminal court. Both documents are signed and acknowledged by local Spanish officials in towns and villas such as Laredo, Mier, Refugio, Camargo, etc.

Message from Brigida Sánchez to Lorenzo Sánchez de la Cortina wanting a debt to be officially settled. Brigida appears to be writing in San Carlos, and de la Cortina's response comes from Laredo; the document is stained and has slightly frayed edges.

Document from Joaquín de Arredondo with copies of regulations regarding the elections of mayors, and the proper procedures in juridical disputes. The document is badly stained and the edges of the paper are frayed and, in places, torn.

Message from José Antonio Benavides to Governor Arredondo sending copies of documents and orders he has issued showing things he has done to preserve order within the province and town. The document has a piece of tape on its left side, and is badly frayed along the right edge.

Message from Manuel de Iturbe to Spanish officials asking for help to facilitate the journey of the Inspector of Forts, Cristóval Domínguez. The message is signed by Spanish officials acknowledging their having received the message from the governor.

Announcement from José Ramón Díaz de Bustamente saying that he has received permission from the governor of the province to issue passports into the province of Texas. The document is signed by local officials in towns and villas such as Refugio, Reynosa, Camargo, Mier, and Revilla, all listed on the left side of the first page.

Message from Juan Ignacio de Arispe to the Justicia Mayor of Laredo, testifying that a horse claimed by Esteban Herrera of Laredo actually belongs to Manuel Rivas of Monclova. The testimony is signed by José Ramón Díaz de Bustamente.

Message from Manuel de Iturbe to Spanish officials orders with orders from the Audiencia to destroy a decree issued by José Napoleón in Spain. The document is signed by numerous Spanish officials acknowledging their receiving and passing on of the message from de Iturbe.

Message from Felix Calleja to José Antonio Benavides acknowledging his having received documents previously sent by Benavides; the named messenger has not been seen in Guanajuato according to Calleja. The document has a few stains and has a piece of tape covering the frayed edges of the right side of the page.

Message from Governor Manuel de Iturbe to Spanish justicias warning them to be on guard against the infiltration of the insurrection into Nuevo Santander, which is still loyal to Spain. The message is signed, dated, and acknowledged by Spanish officials in the various towns and villas of the province.

Message from Antonio Elosua and Manuel de Iturbe related an account of insurrection in Zacatecas and news of Spanish successes on the peninsula against the French.

Message from Manuel de Iturbe to Spanish justicias announcing the excommunication of Miguel Hidalgo and his followers. This message is signed by Spanish officials acknowledging their having received and passed on the information.

Announcement from Manuel de Iturbe to the Spanish justicias and captains in the villas and towns with results of elections for the cortes. de Iturbe mentions that places that have not yet elected someone should do so. There is a second document, signed by Juan Mazoleni and other Spanish officials acknowledging having received the announcement from de Iturbe.

Request from María Andrea Sánchez de la Barrera to the mayor of Laredo for the arrest of two men who have severely injured her husband. In response to the request, de Bustamente writes an eyewitness account of the alleged incident.

Announcement from Viceroy Lizana concerning the establishment in Spain of a Regency Council with supreme powers; the decree lists all of the names involved.

Two documents from José Ramón Díaz de Bustamente calling the province to arms in case the insurrection were to spread into Nuevo Santander; de Bustamente says Indians are to have a bow and 50 arrows apiece. He also calls on parish priests to animate the Indians to the Spanish cause instead of the insurrection.

Message from Manuel de Iturbe to local Spanish officials with orders for the arrest of several individuals who were causing troubles in the province. According to the document two escaped soldiers are among the troubled group; the document is signed by officials acknowledging their having received the notice from de Iturbe.
