Newspaper clipping featuring Roy Eldridge, Chris Connor, and Coleman Hawkins at the Teatro Municipal, presumably in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, as part of the American Jazz Festival tour. The album Jazz No Municipal (Imagem CD-1010) places Eldridge and Hawkins there on July 16, 1961.

Transplants of sarcoma 37 were studied in regard to spontaneous regression of the tumor after irradiation and after the administration of immune serum. The following results were obtained: 1. Of 809 animals, 99% developed the tumor after transplantation; 2. The number of cells transplanted did not influence the growth rate, the percentage of spontaneous regressions, or the life spans of the animals; 3. Reimplantation of the tumor into mice which had previously rejected the tumor resulted in very few successful transplants; 4. The resistance of these mice to further attempts at implantation could not be altered by previous irradiation; 5. Animals transplanted for the first time suffer a faster evolution of the tumor, shortened life span, and a diminution of spontaneous regressions if they have been irradiated prior to transplantation (400r whole body); and, 6. Resistance to tumor growth could not be transferred passively in serum of mice which had rejected the tumor.

Recording of Bruno D'Auzon's Solipsismo. This work combines a finished text (in Portuguese) and its relation to a musical context. The composer has tried to combine the movement between sounds and speech, a poetic language without concern for meaning and in which sound objects or musical phrases may more easily support a concept or an image than words. The piece is divided into five parts, with the middle part playing a relaxing role where the theme is no longer human language.

Letter sent to Rev. Deão at St. Matthew's Cathedral in Dallas from Mr. Nosso in Brazil updating records for Michelle Ratlif, who was baptized at St. Matthew's in 1964. It documents personal details for Ms. Ratlif -- born September 20, 1953, the daughter of James See Ratlif and Billie Jean Carmean -- and certifies that Ms. Ratlif married Antônio Mario da Silva on September 20, 1976 in Brazil at the Paroquia Coração de Maria, with a citation for the page in the church register documenting the marriage.
