Mary Bell and Carl Larsen

Color photograph of a woman and a man, posing indoors together. The woman is Mary Bell, a retired teacher who taught wood carving to the man on her right, Carl Larsen. According to a typed note on the card that is attached to the photograph, Mary was in ill health and located Carl Larson to present him with a wood carving that he had made while in school. Mary is wearing a blue shirt and glasses; Carl is wearing a brown shirt and a jacket. Behind them, the light-colored wood paneling of the building is visible. A small doorknob is discernible to the right of Carl.
