Picture of picking potatoes in the fields belonging to Robert E Holmes north of Old Mannford. These fields are now under Keystone Lake. The house in the background is that of H S Robbins. Workers were paid 10 cents per sack and were able to pick 7-10 sacks in half a day. Charlie Osterhout sewed up the sacks when full. Mrs Cora McCrackin is 3rd from the left, Raymond Holmes mother holds a parasol over Raymond while Rider Bruner stands to the right of the team on the left of the picture. Others in the picture are Minnie McCutcheon, Icy Edwards, Owen Edwards, Mr Goddard, Mr Reed, Mr Cubbison and sisters Kittie and Amanda Bruner.

Mannford Train Depot. The Arkansas Valley and Western Railway extended out from West Tulsa in 1902 connecting through to Enid via Pawnee. In 1909 the route was absorbed by Frisco who continued to operate a passenger and freight servive until 1948 when the passenger service terminated. BNSF still operates a freight service today along the route although no trains stop until Tulsa.

Evening shoes of red silk satin. Designed with a rounded toe and three straps across vamp which lace with red silk cord (disintegrated). Toe box with floral embroidery in red with decorative twisted fabric band across top. Edges of upper and straps edged off-white leather(?); self-covered 2" modified Louis heel. Mostly illegible stamp inside. Measurements: Length 27cm. Width 7cm. Height 12cm. Heel 5cm, 2in.
