[Painting of Mamie Davis and Thomas Walter Davis]

Photographic copy of a painting of Mamie Davis and Thomas Walter Davis. The original paintings were separate portraits of the two children and were later put together to form one image. Mamie, who has her dark hair parted down the center and pulled back, is wearing a below knee length long sleeved dress with large rounded lace collar. Lace trim is seen at sleeves and v- shaped inset in the tier effect near bottom hemline and then again as part of under skirting. The bottom tier of skirt is pleated. Three buttons trim the "v" at the tiered hemline. Mamie is wearing ear drop earrings and a chain and pendant. She is holding a round hoop in her right hand and she has her left hand on the back of the chair (in which Thomas is seated). She has her left ankle crossed over her right. Thomas is seated in an upholstered chair (with tasseled bottom and armrest). Thomas is wearing a dark short pant suit, striped stockings, and dark lace-up boots.
