Caption: "Kitty isn't a kidding, a 350 pound lioness mauls and chews on Lynn Hudson, 19 year old zookeeper at Lincoln Park Zoo here yesterday. Hudson spent a harrowing 20 minutes in the den but was reported in satisfactory condition despite being clawed and bitten the stomach, arms, chest and neck. A bullet also hit him in the arm when another attendant fired three times at lioness, she was hit in the head but not severely wounded."

Caption: "First of 19 structural steel utility poles 100 feet high was erected Monday by OG&E workmen to carry 138,000-volt high line across the downtown area. The tower line, linking electric company substations at NW 2 and Classen and at SW 5 and Broadway, will repalce at 24,000-volt line. OG&E says that the new system is needed to meet the city's growing electrical needs. The two-foot-square towers are designed to withstand winds of more than 100 miles an hour and are anchored to bed rock 20 feet below the ground."
