St. Louis & San Francisco (SLSF) "Frisco" 1031 on "Firefly"

A photograph print showing the St. Louis and San Francisco (SLSF) "Frisco" 1031, 4-6-2, on passenger train, the "Firefly", west of Spencer, OK, nearing the end of its 379 mile run from Kansas City to Oklahoma City. This picture was taken in 1940 before the train was outfitted with streamlined coaches. Curves like this, although scenic, are a headache to the operating department.
