Photograph used for a story in the Daily Oklahoman newspaper. Caption: "Rushing by - Here is pictured the North Canadian river as it swept by the Pennsylvania avenue bridge Tuesday at the rate of 6,000 cubic feet a second. Boiled down to more practical figures, it means a year's supply of water for Oklahoma City will flow past in three days. Lake Overholser, full to the brim, will hold only a six-month supply of water. When the new Upper Bluff creek reservoir is completed it will hold enough water to meet the city's needs for more that two years. No danger of the river flooding city lowlands is in prospect, said M. B. Cunningham, city water superintendent."
