The writer goes on to explain the process of distributing land and refrains from explaining why Pfanner's last letter was written from Mexico and not Texas. Newspaper clipping regarding the settlement in Texas. First portion (front side) is signed by W. D'Hanis & Co. and dated March 1846 from Antwerp. Second portion (front side) mentions Haby's return to Europe to take his family back to Texas and is signed Huth & Co. and dated March 25, 1846 from Neufreystaedt. Second clipping (reverse side) has two sections: First section is part of a letter commending the character of a vicar. The second section relates the story of four lumberjacks who found a stash of gold presumed buried during the French Revolution. They turned it over to the owner of the land, who had it distributed amongst the poor of the community. The third, and last, section contains various small news items.
