Postcard of Antlers Hotel in Diboll, Texas. Looking through gates with "Antlers" on them, of the interior of the The Antlers' Coffee Shop at the The Antlers Hotel in Diboll, Texas. A fireplace can be seen in the center of the postcard. The hotel was open from 1939 until 1954 and owned by Southern Pine Lumber Company. It was designed by John Poindexter Cammack. At one time it was also known as "The Inn." On the front of the postcard is printed the following: "The Antlers--Largest Log Hotel in the South-Diboll, Texas" and "The Antlers Coffee Shop and Its Huge, Friendly Fireplace." On the back of the postcard is printed a road map from Texas towns and cities to Diboll and the following: "The Antlers--Largest Log Hotel in the South, 'Old as Yesterday--Modern as Today', Coffee Shop in Connection, Guest Rooms Strictly Modern." Postcard of Beaumont City Hall on Main Street between Gilbert and College streets. Two men can be seen standing on the right bottom of the picture. This building was built in 1909 to serve as a cooperative market by the City of Beaumont, but was used as a City Hall and Jail from about 1910 until 1926. Later in the 1920s it was used as a market and at one time went by the name of the Nancy Tevis Market. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "City Hall, Beaumont, Texas.--19." Printed on the back of the postcard is the following information regarding its creation: "E.C. Kropp Co., Milwaukee" and "27097N." The card is addressed to Mrs. C S Browne (?) 111 Long St, West Roxbury, Mass.

The George O'Brien Millard School was a public elementary school in Beaumont started about 1910 and sometimes known as just Millard School. George O'Brien Millard was a prominent Beaumont citizen who helped develop the public school system in Beaumont. Printed on the top left of the postcard is "Geo. B. Millard School, Beaumont, Texas." Postcard of Hotel Dieu hospital, located on the banks of the Neches River near Sabine Pass Avenue and Emmett Avenue. Hotel Dieu was first opened in the late 1890s. In the mid-1910s a red brick structure replaced the older wooden structure. It was built and operated by the Catholic Sisters of Charity of the Incarnate Word. Printed at the top of the postcard is "Hotel Dieu, Beaumont, Texas." Printed on the back of the postcard is the following information regarding the postcard's creation: "9732." Handwritten on the back of the postcard, "We certainly like it down here. this is a beautiful place. What are you all doing Let me hear from you."
