1921 Lewisville High School football team coach, Lee Preston, is pictured with thirteen mostly unidentified members in front of the school building. The players are lined up in three rows: the first row is one member sitting Indian-style on the ground, row two has six members sitting up on both knees, and the back row consists of six players standing. Coach Preston is standing fourth from the left in the back row. The only identified team member is Sulton John Boyd, who is on the back row, second from the left. Sulton would later play football for and graduate from North Texas State Teachers College.

[Denton Fire Department and City Hall]

Thirty-one unidentified men and two unidentified women are posing in front of the Denton City Hall and an early Fire Station that was located at the northeast corner of West Oak and Bolivar Streets. Two fire engines are visible with two of the men sitting in one of the engines. A motorcycle is also visible in the foreground. The City Hall and part of the Fire Station are one brick building with a bell steeple on top. A wooden addition to the Fire Station is shown to the left of the building. Many of the men are wearing Western-style clothing with Western hats. Some of the men are wearing three-piece suits with ties or bow ties. Gene Cook is sixth from the left. Billy Woods is behind the steering wheel. Mayor B.W. McKenzie is in front of a truck wearing a striped tie. Chief Clarence Smith is the man with a cane. The men were identified in a photograph in the book "Denton Fire Department Commemorative Album 1874-1988".

Guy Daugherty uses an old kick wheel from the early 1870's to create artistic pottery sold throughout the United States. Daugherty continued his father's business and roamed throughout 23 states until finally settling in Denton, Texas.

Annual Banquet of the Ex-Students' Association of the College of Industrial Arts. Honoring the classes of 1907, 1917, 1927, and their "Little Sister" classes. Held at Brackenridge Hall on June 4, 1927. The program contains a menu and order of services for the banquet, as well as the association officers and committee members. The Program was illustrated by Coreen Mary Spellman (who was also on the Decoration Committee) and printed by the CIA Print Shop on cream paper and blue cloth: the cover material being made of cloth. The pamphlet book was then stapled. There are some stains on the inside pages. The illustrations are of women in dressed in fashion from the time period of the graduation classes.

Photograph of Louisa "Lou" Prater Rogers sitting in a rocking chair on the porch of a house with the number 810 over the front door. She and her husband, Samuel G. Rogers, lived at 810 N. Throckmorton Street in Sherman, Texas [the Sherman City Directory incorrectly lists their house number as 910, but the number 810 can clearly be seen over the door frame] Louisa was the daughter of Erby "Erb" Boyd Prater and Katurah S. "Kitty." She did not marry until 1897. Samuel worked as a driver and Lou stayed at home as a housewife, possibly because of health issues (she was asthmatic). Other photos of the Prater family are also included in this collection.
