On Polish groups admitting non-essentially countable actions

Article addresses the question whether every Polish group that is not locally compact admits a Borel action on a standard Borel space whose associated orbit equivalence relation is not essentially countable. The authors e answer this question positively for the class of all Polish groups that embed in the isometry group of a locally compact metric space.

The National Museum of the Pacific War presents an interview with Kenneth Smith. Smith joined the Navy and was in boot training when the war ended. After training, he was assigned to USS Rutland (APA-192). He recalls a few anecdotes about being aboard ship, seeing part of Japan and hauling troops home after the war. Smith shares some of his Christian testimony and entered the seminary after returning to college after the war.

Video recording of Spring 2021 commencement ceremony held on the evening of Thursday, April 29. The in-person ceremony was at Apogee Stadium and honored the Spring and Summer 2020 graduates. Due to Covid-19, Spring and Summer 2020 graduates were verbally recognized during virtual College Recognition Ceremonies in August of 2020. This ceremony was an opportunity for graduates to attend and be recognized at an in-person commencement. The ceremony includes opening and closing remarks by UNT President Neal Smatresk. Additional remarks are given by the UNT System Chancellor Lesa Roe, UNT System Board of Regent Carlos Munguia, UNT Provost and Vice President for Academic Affairs Dr. Jennifer Cowley, and Vice President for University Advancement, Dr. David Wolf. Surface-specific washing-free immunosensor for time-resolved cortisol monitoring

This article describes a method of measuring cortisol levels. It presents a metal-enhanced fluorescence assay based on a displacement of a dye labeled BSA-cortisol conjugate from the immune complex immobilized on the golden islands by free cortisol.
