Article describes how non-alcoholic fatty liver disease (NAFLD) is currently plaguing the population at pandemic proportions and is expected to become more prevalent over the next decade. The authors investigated the hypothesis that exposure to a mixture of gasoline and diesel engine emissions (MVE), coupled with the concurrent consumption of a HF diet, promotes the development of a NAFLD phenotype within the liver.

Felix Orzechowski, who came to Texas in 1866 to answer an appeal for Polish missionaries, organized St. Joseph's Parish in 1869. The first Catholic church in Walker County, it served the many Polish families who settled this area in the 1870s. This article uses metazachlor, an inhibitor of VLCFA synthesis, to find that VLCFAs are involved in the TGN/MVB distribution of PI3P. This effect is independent from either synthesis of PI3P by PI3-kinase or degradation of PI(3,5)P2 into PI3P by the SUPPRESSOR OF ACTIN1 (SAC1) phosphatase. Results suggest that PI3P might be transferable from TGN to MVBs and that VLCFAs act in this process.

Report states that the aim of the Music Library Picture Show demonstration was to learn about how event programming affects student attitudes about the library and to position the library as a viable "third place" for UNT students and visiting high school students. The project members promoted the events with the assistance of UNT Libraries Communications and Marketing which includes posters, small flyers, lawn signs, etc. Their results discuss the outcome of various events put on by the library, and how users felt about the events.
