Patent for an improvement in churn by using a combination of a sliding bar, a cord secured to the dasher-shaft, and vertical rods to create a mechanical movement that would wind and unwind the cord in order to operate the churn. Illustration is included.

Patent for "a coffin of improved construction and composition, to so construct the same as to render it impervious to the action of water or moisture, and to render said coffin strong and durable and admit of the same being produced in a neat and ornamental form." Patent for a new and improved multi-tool. This design "consists of a tool having a staple-holder, a driver, a chisel, a vise attachment, and a detachable driver adapted to be used with the vise to splice the ends of the wire in building wire fences, in which the tool is used for driving staples, cutting the wire, and splicing the wire, the several devices forming a combination-tool disposed for convenient use upon a stock or holder" (lines 9-17).

Patent for improvements to Cotton-Gins' brush cylinders that includes "a longitudinal tubular member having a brush cylinder cooperating therewith and which serves as a conduit for the passage of the lint cotton from the gin and also as a connecting means for the legs of the gin frame and as an end outlet for the gin, and leaving the rear of the latter unobstructed and freely accessible" (lines 13-21), including illustrations and instructions.

Patent for a new and improved cotton picker. This design "is to provide a light, simple, and easily constructed cotton-picking device, capable of being operated by hand, and which can be manufactured and placed upon the market at a low cost to the purchaser, who, by the employment of the same, is enabled to gather the cotton fiber from the bolls without regard to the height of the stalks, and at the same time such portions of the product that may have become detached from the bolls and fallen to the ground can be gathered up without the necessity of excessive stooping" (lines 24-36).

Patent for a simple and efficient drag-saw that can be easily transported and adjusted. The saw can also be lifted during operation if necessary. It has a frame, a longitudinally-grooved guiding-bracket attached to the frame, a reciprocating pitman-head that slides into the frame, a crank-shaft that operates the pitman-head, an arm that carries the saw with a pivotal connection to the pitman-head, a saw-frame secured to the pitman-head's outer end, an adjustable strap between the saw-carrying arm and the saw-frame for adjusting the saw-frame, a spring between the arm and the pitman-head, a saw-lifting lever fulcrumed on the machine-frame, a pendent stirrup carried by the lifting-lever and slotted to control the saw-carrying arm, and a guiding-bracket with a slot where the stirrup slides and another slot where the arm moves.

Patent for a drier used for drying sugar canes from a sugar mill. Illustrations included.

Patent for improvements in “generating oil-burners” by connecting a combination of tubes, pipes and casings to direct and regulate the oil flows to the burner. It can also control the amount of steam to be discharged to properly effect the burning of the oil. Illustration is included.
