[Columbian Exposition Medal]

Souvenir medal from the world's fair in Chicago. One side has an image of Christopher columbus wearing armor, with his arms outstretched as he makes landfall, with the text "Christopher Columbus Oct-XII MCCCCXCII" at right. On the reverse, there are a number of images around the central text: "World's Columbian Exposition in Commemoration of the Four-Hundredth Anniversary of the Landing of Columbus. MDCCCXCII - MDCCCXCIII to T.V. Munson." Images include (at top) a globe with an angel on either side, one with a trumpet and the other marking the globe with a brush; beribboned lit torches on either side of the central text box; and (at bottom) Columbus' ship with unfurled sails.

Round commemorative medal featuring a bald eagle with wings outspread, holding up a box with the text: "Bronze Medal, Louisiana Purchase Exposition." Below the text box are two fishes and a shell.
