[Plaque for a Discovery Well in Batson, Texas]
Photograph of a plaque commemorating the discovery of oil in a Batson, Texas oil field in a well known as Paraffine Oil Co. No. 1. The plaque notes that the well reached a depth of 790 feet, initially produced 600 barrels of oil, and was completed on October 31st, 1903. Located in Ada Belle Oil Field.
