1891. Announcement of Closing Exercises of Texas Normal College
Announcement and invitation to the closing exercises and commencement at Texas Normal College in Denton, Texas in 1891. The closing exercises include a musicale by students of the Department of Music on June 17, exercises by the Scientific Class on June 18, and annual commencement and presentation of diplomas on June 19. The invitation was printed on Argyle Linen paper and bears their watermark.

1921 Lewisville High School Football Team
1921 Lewisville High School football team coach, Lee Preston, is pictured with thirteen mostly unidentified members in front of the school building. The players are lined up in three rows: the first row is one member sitting Indian-style on the ground, row two has six members sitting up on both knees, and the back row consists of six players standing. Coach Preston is standing fourth from the left in the back row. The only identified team member is Sulton John Boyd, who is on the back row, second from the left. Sulton would later play football for and graduate from North Texas State Teachers College.

This program contains information about the Denton Fire Department, a biographical sketch about W. J. Austin, descendant of Stephen F. Austin and former president of the State Firemen's Association, a list of officers and members of the Denton Fire Department, and several photographs of firemen and their equipment. Annual Banquet of the Ex-Students' Association of the College of Industrial Arts. Honoring the classes of 1907, 1917, 1927, and their "Little Sister" classes. Held at Brackenridge Hall on June 4, 1927. The program contains a menu and order of services for the banquet, as well as the association officers and committee members. The Program was illustrated by Coreen Mary Spellman (who was also on the Decoration Committee) and printed by the CIA Print Shop on cream paper and blue cloth: the cover material being made of cloth. The pamphlet book was then stapled. There are some stains on the inside pages. The illustrations are of women in dressed in fashion from the time period of the graduation classes.

Bedridden Boy Still In School
Newspaper clipping and photo regarding Larry Wayne Shell, a third-grader at Little Elm School. Larry broke his leg and was forced to stay at home. His family installed an intercom wire between the school and his room, so he could participate in the lessons. Mrs. Harmon was his teacher.

Bookmark with a thread tassel. The bookmark contains a drawing of a dog and the inscription, "I'm good for a trick or two." We assume that the bookmark served double-duty as a placeholder for a table at a social function as it is labeled, "Table No.2, Couple No.2" with the numbers handwritten in. The bookmark belonged Mrs. J. E. Hightower, formerly Bessie Elizabeth Bruce, and was found in her 1910 Denton High School Bronco yearbook.
