A letter written to Mr. T. N. Carswell, Commander, 5th Division, American Legion, from Chas. Whitacre, Commander 19th District, American Legion, Lubbock, Texas, dated October 30, 1942. Whitacre expresses his appreciation for the kind letter from Carswell and notes that the sympathy from their many friends has made their loss easier and that they have been able, so far, to obtain the materials necessary to replace the home. Whitacre suggests as Chairman for the following committees; A. C. Jackson of Lubbock for the Transportation Committee, W. R. Weaver of Spur for the Float Committee and Charnell Jobe of Lamesa.
