Article for a study aimed to develop understanding of the current state of metadata practices in digital collections of archival institutions in the Arabian Gulf region. It also explored perspectives (including attitudes and possible barriers) for development of large-scale regional portals that would facilitate discovery of Arab digital archives (including language collections) by aggregating metadata. Article explores the training gap between the way these materials are organized and represented and the understanding of that data – and expectations towards the more functional ways of its organization and representation – by language preservation and revitalization researchers, and by members of language communities. Information resources collected by language archives have unique attributes of importance to their target user groups, and these attributes and their representation are not currently widely addressed by the formal training provided to information professionals. This poster highlighting the development of machine learning model to automate part of the process of digitizing and archiving documents from the Texas State Depository Program. This particular part of the process is the sorting of documents to facilitate metadata creation. Article discusses how, despite the expected positive association between subjective functional difficulties (SFD) and subjective cognitive decline (SCD), their mediation by mentally unhealthy days (MUDs) is under-studied. This study examined the mediation effect of MUDs on the association between SFD and SCD by age cohorts’ moderation among older adults.

Article discusses how African American/Black communities comprise 12.2% of the U.S. population, with a COVID-19 infection rate of more than 18% and marginal access to healthcare services. This scoping review synthesizes the emerging evidence on healthcare accessibility among older African American adult communities with dementia and COVID-19, as well as the resource requirements for this population during the pandemic.

Authors of the article present a suite of high-resolution simulations of an isolated dwarf galaxy using four different hydrodynamical codes: Gizmo, Arepo, Gadget, and Ramses. They find reasonable agreement on the time-averaged star formation rates as well as the joint density–temperature distributions between all codes.

Article describes how in this study, a new in-loop hybrid manufacturing method is proposed for fabricating multi-walled carbon nanotube (MWCNTs)/polylactic acid (PLA) composites. Molecular dynamics simulations were conducted in conjunction with experiments to reveal the mechanism of the proposed method for improving the interfacial performance of MWCNTs/PLA.
