Interview with Stephanie Reinke, Andrea Tuckness, and Jordan Williams for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. This special episode of the podcast features an overview of the OLLI at UNT program. Susan is joined by three staff members of UNT's Lifelong Learning & Community Engagement department who are responsible for overseeing the program: Director Stephanie Reinke, Assistant Director Andrea Tuckness, and Communications Specialist Jordan Williams. Together, they explain the program in detail, including all of the available membership options, how registration and enrollment works, and all of the programming and benefits that members can enjoy. They even share some behind-the-scenes insights into how a small staff and many dedicated volunteers collaborate to create such a dynamic program.

In this episode, Susan speaks with Dr. Fred Busche about some of his most noteworthy accomplishments, including how he came to work on lunar samples from the Apollo missions as a graduate student, how one of the patents he holds was used to identify the cause of certain SUV rollovers, and how he has used cutting edge Geographic Information Systems to improve the lives of the residents of Highland Village through his work on their City Council.

In this episode, Susan speaks with Dr. Ryan Garlick, Principal Lecturer in UNT's Department of Computer Science and Engineering. They discuss his codebreaking work, including his participation in TV programs such as National Geographic's "Hunt for the Zodiac Killer." Dr. Garlick gives an overview of the codebreaking methods that are being used to decipher the Zodiac's mysterious messages and also talks about his academic and professional background.

Interview with Dr. Andrew Torget for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. In this episode, Susan has a wide-ranging discussion with Andrew Torget, Associate Professor in UNT's History Department. She and Dr. Torget discuss why it's important for us to learn about history, how he recently made history by teaching the world's longest history lesson, and his connection to the recent discovery of a safe full of documents that reveal the presumed-lost history of the Galveston City Company.

Interview with Dr. James Goodnow for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. In this episode, Susan sits down with Dr. James Goodnow, Adjunct Professor of International Studies at UNT, to discuss a special series of discussions he's offering for OLLI at UNT this semester as part of the nationwide Great Decisions global affairs program. Dr. Goodnow explains how these discussions work and also talks with Susan about his academic background, how he became involved with OLLI at UNT, and his personal experiences traveling around the world.

Interview with Dr. James Goodnow for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. Susan speaks with him about his work as co-chair of the Day Trippers Special Interest Group. Dr. Goodnow explains the background of this OLLI at UNT group and the types of trips they'll be taking this semester.

Interview with Dr. Pankaj Jain for the Osher Lifelong Learning Institute (OLLI) podcast. In this episode, Susan speaks with Dr. Pankaj Jain, Associate Professor in UNT's Department of Philosophy & Religion. They discuss Dr. Jain's interest in connecting ancient practices with contemporary issues, and how he is exploring the connections between religious traditions and sustainability in the US and in India. They also discuss his recent trip to Nepal, where he recorded an episode of National Geographic Channel's "The Story of God" with Morgan Freeman. The episode will air on April 9, 2019.
