Dockery had the distinction of living in three centuries (the 18th, 19th, and 20th). Transcriber Mike Anglin, Dockery's great-great-great grandson, has provided footnotes with more information about the subjects mentioned.

Jones, who was assigned the sex of female at birth and lived as Stacy Jeanette Jones for 42 years, discusses his upbringing, his career in the Coast Guard, the discrimination he faced as a lesbian, especially as a service member under "Don't Ask, Don't Tell," his membership with the Metropolitan Community Church (MCC) in Fort Worth, founding Trans-Cendence International, and being the first trans person to run for a position in the Texas House or any legislative election in Texas.
