This report discusses the economic, fiscal and developmental impacts of the Dallas Center for the Performing Arts (DCPA). The University of North Texas Center for Economic Development identifies and calculates the economic and fiscal impacts that will attend construction and operations of the DCPA. The Economic, Fiscal and Developmental Impacts of the North Texas Tollway Authority: A 40-Year Perspective
This report by the University of North Texas Center for Economic Development and Research looks at the North Texas Tollway Authority (NTTA) as a regional economic generator. It first examines the impacts from the NTTA's construction spending on the Dallas North Tollway (DNT) and the President George Bush Turnpike (PGBT). Second, it quantifies the economic and fiscal impacts from the NTTA's recurring operational spending. Third, it looks at the value of all the residential and commercial development that has ocurred along the DNT and PGBT corridors over the past 30-40 years as well as the annual tax revenues generated by this development. Finally, it discusses how NTTA's projects have helped improve mobility in the North Texas region.

Sales Tax Revenue in the City of Arlington, Texas: Historical Review and Projections

Retention and Recruitment of Women in Computer Engineering
This paper describes the efforts and results of a plan for actively recruiting women students to undergraduate computer engineering programs at the University of North Texas (UNT). It also describes a series of activities aimed at improving retention rates of women students already in our programs. Such recruitment and retention of women is critical to the country's efforts to increase the number of engineering professionals, and is a priority for the Computer Science and Engineering (CSE) Department at UNT.
