Availability of Ground Water in the Branch River Basin, Providence County, Rhode Island
From introduction: This report deals with ground-water resources of the part of the Branch River basin in northwestern Rhode Island upstream from the U.S. Geological Survey gaging station at Forestdale, Rhode lsland, an area of 79 square miles or 205 square kilometers (figure 1). A Battery-Powered Fluorimeter for the Determination of Uranium
Abstract: A transmission fluorimeter is described which is completely battery-powered and which is suitable for use in the laboratory, in field stations, or in mobile units. The ultraviolet light source is a 3-watt RP-12 lamp. The instrument is sufficiently sensitive for the determination of 0.001 percent uranium in a 0.4-mg sample.

The Copper and Uranium Deposits of the Coyote District, Mora County, New Mexico
From abstract: The copper and uranium-vanadium deposits of the Coyote district, Mora County, N. Mex., are confined to the lower 2,000 feet of the Sangre de Cristo formation of Pennsylvanian and Permian age. A narrow belt of deposits in steeply dipping or overturned rocks extends for 7 miles along Coyote Creek south of Guadalupita. Earlier studies showed that the copper deposits contained uranium, but both the reserves and the uranium content of the copper-bearing shale are too low to permit the recovery of uranium. However, small, commercial grade uranium deposits have been discovered in sandstone.
